Any suggestion on how to "convert" an email list into SMS list?

Q: I will have a meeting with one of our local sports bar. Currently, they have an email list. Any suggestion on how to "convert" it into SMS list?

A: Setup a keyword campaign and email the list telling them to optin to the SMS list.
